USS Anasazi Organization
The USS
Anasazi is commanded by the Commanding Officer (CO), who is advised by his
Command Staff. The Command Staff of
the USS Anasazi are the representatives of the crew and are present at Command
Staff meetings to ensure the CO understands the needs of the crew.
The USS Anasazi’s Command Staff is comprised of the following
individuals: Commanding Officer (CO), Executive Officer (XO), the head of each
Department aboard the USS Anasazi (Operations, Tactical, Medical, Engineering,
and Science), the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the 898th Marine Strike
Group, and all remaining members of the Shuttle Soyuz Founding Members.
Several of the Anasazi’s Departments have Sections within them in order
to properly carry out their duties. The
departments, their approved Sections and the mission of each of these are as
follows:

Ultimately responsible for all actions of
the USS Anasazi and her crew. Responsible
for maintaining Chapter finances and for submitting Monthly Status Reports
as required by STARFLEET International.
Final arbiter of any dispute. |

Executive Officer |
Second in Command of USS Anasazi, assumes
the duties of the Commanding Officer when necessary. The XO is also
responsible for maintaining current personnel files, the membership
database and serves as Awards Coordinator.
Second to final link in resolving any disputes. |

|
Senior Enlisted Advisor |
Serves as advisor to the Commanding Officer
and Command Staff as well as serving as an ombudsman and “problem
solver” for the crew. This
person serves as the “Jack of All Trades” for the Command Staff. |

|
Ana, the ECC (Emergency Command Chicken) is
the USS Anasazi’s symbol of command authority and holds the rank of Lt.
Commander (awarded to her by VADM Gumby himself).
Ana is third in command and has been fully briefed on the
operations of the USS Anasazi in the event she is required to assume
command. |

Operations |
|
To ensure the USS Anasazi carries out the
missions approved by the Command Staff and continues to function as
Chapter of STARFLEET International. This
Department serves as the organizers for the USS Anasazi. |

|
Conn |
This section is responsible for making sure
that the USS Anasazi and her crew knows how to get where they need to be
to accomplish the mission at hand. |
|
|
Communications |
This section of the Anasazi is responsible
for maintaining adequate communications (i.e., web page(s) and newsletter)
between the Anasazi, her crew and other ships in the Fleet. |
|
|
Operations |
This section of the Operations Department
is tasked with final planning of any mission approved by the Anasazi’s
Command Staff. This section is responsible for the overall coordination of
activities undertaken by the USS Anasazi. |

Medical |
|
Responsible for maintaining the health
(both physical and mental) of the USS Anasazi’s crew. |
|
|
Medical |
Charged with maintaining the physical
health of the Anasazi’s crew and maintaining a medical database for each
crewmember in case of emergency. |
|
|
Counseling |
Charged with maintaining the mental health
(morale) of the Anasazi’s crew. The
Anasazi’s Counselor serves as the Morale Officer for the ship and her
crew. |

Engineering |
|
Responsible for the transportation and life
support needs of the USS Anasazi and her crew. |
|
|
Propulsion |
This section is responsible for organizing
any transportation that may be needed in order to carry out the mission of
the USS Anasazi and her crew. |
|
|
Life Support |
These are the crewmembers responsible for
organizing any food and/or beverages needed by the crew of the Anasazi
during a mission. |
|
|
Damage Control |
This is the section responsible for
conducting repairs on the ship, it’s systems and to make sure that
everything we need for an away mission is functioning properly.
This section of the Engineering Department is dedicated to working
on any special projects that may be needed by the Anasazi or her crew. |
|
Science |
|
This Department is responsible for
providing intelligence and other vital information to the Operations
Department and the crew of the USS Anasazi that may be needed to complete
or plan missions approved or under consideration by the Command Staff. |
|
|
Intelligence |
The Intelligence (Intel) section is
responsible for obtaining any necessary information needed by the Anasazi
Command Staff or her crew in order for them to carry out her mission. |
Each crewmember serving on the USS Anasazi
will be permitted to choose the Department and Section where they will serve.
The Command Staff may make suggestions, but no crewmember will be forced
into a Department or Section where they will not feel comfortable.
Crewmembers may also request that they be transferred to a new
Department/Section, but that the Command Staff must approve the requested
transfer. It is also permissible, and strongly encouraged, for
crewmembers to assist any other Department/Section with the tasks assigned to
them at any point as long as the assistance does not interfere with those
crewmembers’ assigned duty.
