Christine Anastasia Nibel (Ana),the current ECC (Emergency Command Chicken, Mark III) is the USS Anasazi's symbol of command authority and holds the rank of Colonel.  Ana is third in command and has been fully briefed on the operations of the USS Anasazi in the event she is required to assume command.

ECC, Mark II

COL Nibel's predecessor, CAPT C. Anna Bel (ECC Mark II), was killed by at least two of our crew members.  It appears they were providing her with large amounts of alcohol that ultimately cost CAPT Bel her life.  The perpetrators have been found, tried, convicted and sentenced for their fowl play. If other unindicted co-conspirators are later found and proven to have been involved, they will be prosecuted as well.

As Commanding Officer of the USS Anasazi, I come to you with a sad update on Capt. C. Anna Bel’s condition.  Early this morning, April 11, 2007 at 7:18 a.m., Ana passed into the great beyond.  The cause of death has been determined to be massive organ failure related to her heavy drinking in recent months.

Anna was a dear friend of the USS Anasazi and her crew and she will be missed greatly by all who knew her.  Anna’s last request was that she be fried, Cajun style if possible, and her friends allowed to partake of her body in remembrance of her.  Anna requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the USMC-R Toys for Tots Foundation at www.toysfortots.org.  Thank you all for your support and condolences during this time of darkness for the crew of the USS Anasazi.

As for Anna’s killers: 

After an investigation which included review of all available holo-images from the recent events hosted by the USS Anasazi and her crew, it was determined that Petty Officer Second Class Wendy Cheairs and Lieutenant Colonel Philip Dillard are responsible for starting Anna on her heavy drinking.  PO2 Cheairs and LTC Dillard have been charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Chicken, Poultry Abuse, Abuse of an Officer and Murder in the Second Degree.  Courts-Martial are pending.

PO2 Wendy Cheairs and LTC Dillard have been found guilty of the charges and specifications in the indictment and have been sentenced as follows:

PO2 Cheairs: A lifetime of marriage to Capt. Craig Cheairs (some would say death is kinder)

LTC Dillard:  To perform the “Chicken Dance” whenever asked by any member of the crew of the Anasazi in memory of Anna until paternity (he must father a child to get out of it).

ECC, Mark I

The USS Anasazi's ECC, Mark 1 Has been polaced in stasis with one of the 17th Fleet's Time capsules.  She will be removed from stasis at a later time and reunited with her crew and friends.
